Orthopedic Massage is a specialized form of manual treatment. its goal is to dissolve adhesions; restore the position of the soft tissue and release its torsion; hydrate the joints; facilitate normal neurological function and release entrapment of the peripheral nerves. This is accomplished by using a combination of myofascial release techniques (MRT), transverse friction, and muscle energy techniques (MET).
Orthopedic massage aims to treat specific musculoskeletal complaints. This requires an exam prior to receiving your first treatment. Most treatments last 90-120 minutes. A series of treatments is recommended for long term results.
